Marriage, women and their breast size
By Nosa Olotu
Silly question, some would say, when you ask if a woman breast size generally increase after marriage. This sort of question is asking you to identify “cause and effect” that statisticians have wrestled with for centuries without success.
I asked a lady friend this question and her straight answer was emphatically no. She had been married for twenty years. She believed the only reason her breast increased in size (or seem to look like they did!) was because her husband bought her the Wonder Bra from Soho!
I have read that members of both sexes gain weight after marriage. I don’t know how true this is, but it would be expected that at least a portion of that weight gain would go to the breast.
There is a view that a woman breast increases after marriage due to hamonal change which is faced after marriage as it may the first appearance to the sexual life which changes the body stature.
Another view is that if a married woman gets pregnant, definitely her breast size will increase because that part of her body is producing milk. Some pregnant women produce a lot more milk than others which they store for their babies. It would be expected or normal for such women to experience increase in their breast size.
So one could argue that the actual institution of marriage is not what increases breast size. Apart from pregnancy, which can happen whether or not you are married, the three other possible factors are:
- Weight gain: The undeniable fact is that gaining weight means gaining some weight all around your body. This means your breasts will also get larger. Breast size typically increases with increased body weight and post pregnancy. If you are a skinny undernourished woman weighing 6 stones (i.e. 84 pounds), marriage is not going to make your breasts grow! So just like our weight in general, breast size can yo-yo up and down. With weight loss or after breast feeding they may actually decrease in size, but with weight gain and or pregnancy they will increase.
- No exercise: Suddenly you are not exercising and you used to exercise every day. Marriage can only make your breasts larger because you have changed the amount or exercise you are getting. Once past the newlywed stage that exercise tapers off as well and the breast size will increase too if you are not careful. In other words, breast size depends on overall size. They say that persons married for years will eventually start to look similar.
- Birth control or drugs: Birth control can make your breasts fluctuate in size and I’m sure there are other medicines out there that can affect size as well!
There is sufficient evidence to suggest that when they are happy and secure in their relationship women have a tendency to not be as rigorous in their quest for the skinny mini female form. Since the female breast is a large (or small) lump of fat. This may also be the case without marriage. So it’s unlikely that marriage will cause your breasts to get larger.
That being said, however, there is the effect of gravity and with sagging breasts may appear to be larger. That is when a good support bra is the key to perking them up and making them look their fullest and best!
